Additional comments from audience feedback
FOCUS GROUP COMMENTS:
Video - Black & white effect was good for the representation of the past
Good story line (fitted the song lyrics)
More special effects would of been good
Fast cuts were used well
Not many different settings
Costume was fairly plain
Digipak - Good use of colours (dont contrast)
Effective image - fitted the album title
The font didnt look right - didnt look like an indie-rock album cover
Good use of patterns, however slightly plain
Advert - Used the same image from the digipak - looked realistic
Good use of persuasive language
Font stood out, attracted the audience
Good quote
A coloured or patterned background should have been used
Colours were quite dull

Permission Letter
Dear Parent/Guardian,
We are student’s from Eaton Bank School and currently in year 13 doing our A level exams. As one of our chosen subject’s we are doing media studies which consists of Theory, Coursework and also practical worked linked into it. To complete this A level part of our course work is to create a music video of a song of our choice. To follow the storyline of our chosen song we will need to film young children in a school class.
It would be much appreciated if your son/daughter could help us with this by giving your permission for them to apart of the film. As well as helping us it would be a fabulous experience for them for we will talk them through certain aspect’s of the film production. Hopefully this will be done in school time as part of a lesson so it will not make there day much different.
If you are happy for your son/daughter to take part in this filming please sign the form below and return to your class teacher by……….(DATE)
Sincerely,
Lauren Berry Jessica Aartse-Tuyn

Video Ideas
OUR VIDEO
Based on a story line - The main idea for our music video was a stereotypical love story. The song lyrics and meaning of the 'You & Me Song' is portrayed through our video.
The idea of two people being together throughout the stages of life is shown in our video by it being divided into 3 key stages, young children, teenagers & elderly.
The actions in our video also follow the lyrics.
The different settings in our video were selected for important reasons:
1: Primary school - the young children in natural environment, playing, having fun, typical expectations of children of that age.
2: Secluded field by a stream - stereotypical romantic setting, generally seen in romantic films and 'love song' music videos.
3: Sitting room in a house - Comfortable setting infront of the TV, common, relaxing place for elderly couple.
